Zoom Out ! When we do this practice, our whole occurrence of “reality” & interpretation of our life’s experiences alters. Knowing the past is a memory, and the future is our fantasy, all we have is now. Be curiously engaged in this moment and allow yourself to be surprised by what is arising newly, redefining your reality.

We are then able to disperse emotional residues, all of our disappointments, any anger, hurt, pain, indignation and other well practiced reactions that have “become” part of our automatic default behavior. Those traits we allowed ourselves to identify with and become synonymous as: “this is me/who I am”.

The “magic” key enabling us to change any life’s circumstances is altering our perceptions, perspectives and responses.

This shift in our own decision enables us to view life from a “zoomed out” vantage point. Seeing the whole spectrum, rather than being focused on isolated incidents, viewed from a “magnifying glass” perspective, that may occur as a life threatening and perceived as an imminently looming disaster.

By “Zooming out” responce-ability, we claim back and regain control over our own emotions and reactions with this practice.
It enables us to reflect from a wider “time/space” perspective, over our whole life, a year, or decades, as opposed to that very incident that is obsessively replaying itself in our minds.

Ask yourself: when looking at our whole life, does this really matter in the great scheme of things? Say: “This Too Shall Pass ! “ and practice “Zooming Out”(not zone out!).

Viewing our whole life, we get to determine how it goes, as we have ultimate control over your internal decisions, choices and responses. Choosing to walk away from an abusive situation or stand up to it, is our choice at the moment. Exercising non-reactivity, of the primitive survival mode emanating from the reptilian mind. Honouring ourselves and ultimately all HumanUnity.

“Know thyself” ! is the first step, being really honest with ourselves, identifying our own triggers. For some it may be others behaving in what they perceive as aggressive way, for others it may be what they perceive as arrogant behaviour or maybe witnessing or experiencing bullying and ridiculing.

As soon as our triggers are activated, a whole world perception of past disappointment, anger, and resentment consumes us.
Take a step forward in time, what would this incident mean in 5\10\15 + years ?

When we remember “devastating” incidents years back, now we may find it hard to recall and think “what was that all about”?

Victor Frankel, and other incredible people who survived horrific holocaust, moved on and gifted incredible contributions to HumanUnity. “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms — to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way” Viktor Frankl, ‘Man’s Search For Meaning’ book.

What are we choosing to do & act upon? What are we choosing to spend our energies on? What are we choosing to stand for?

We have the ultimate freedom to respond to anything regardless of what is happening. It is an instant choice, even as a defiant decision and action, it will be more beneficial to our lives, or Give-A-Time… The choice is ours, right here, right now.
Knowing the past is a memory, and the future is a fantasy, all we have is now.
