Dhumavati is the Empress / Crone, the very FIRST Tantric initiator of the Mahavidyas (Ten Tantric Wisdom Goddesses).
Meditating upon her qualities, invoking them within ourselves, helps us overcome depression, Illness, grief of loss & sadness.
Dhumavati emanates the Furtalie Void upon which all of creation arose from & will remain after cosmic dissolution.
Dhumavati is the holder of ultimate universal knowledge, beyond the illusory dualities.
Dumavati provides us access, looking beyond the superficial illusory, seeing what is REAL, the inner truth.
Depicted as the old, ugly hag, crow, skin & bones, she is misunderstood & feared, portrayed as repulsive, referred to as the “Smokey One”.
It is only when we are willing to see beyond the superficial & our constructed tales, then we perceive the “truth” & “she” transforms into new possibilities, traditionally in the form of gorgeous young goddesses.
Tibetans meditate upon looking beyond the form, to see the bones & then beyond to seeing the divine god/dess.
